YouTube revenue streams
Each stream: what it is, rough eligibility, how it fits Atmosfarm, plus a status you set and per-stream notes. Status drives the left-edge colour and the counters below.
Timing matters — the release schedule drives all of this
The channel launches Oct 14 2026 (the film + 5 topic videos + trailer + Vision); then 14 weekly build videos at 2/week to year-end, topics 1/week ongoing, plus a nightly 1-hr livestream Jul 6–Oct 14 on the second channel. YouTube Partner thresholds (1k subs / 4k watch-hours) are unlikely before late Q4 — sequence the quick wins (affiliate, ads) first. The 125 creative deliverables feeding this are tracked week-by-week on the Schedule.💵Ad revenue — YouTube Partner Program
- What it is
- Ads served on your videos; YouTube pays out a ~55% share via AdSense.
- Eligibility
- YPP: 1,000 subscribers + 4,000 valid public watch-hours/12 mo (or 10M Shorts views/90 days), AdSense linked, 2-step verification, no active strikes, in a YPP country.
- Atmosfarm fit
- Long-form cinematic build episodes drive high watch-time, and the 24/7 stream accrues hours — both feed the threshold. Not yet met; this is the baseline once the channel crosses it.
⭐Channel memberships
- What it is
- Monthly paid tiers with perks — badges, custom emoji, members-only posts, videos and livestreams.
- Eligibility
- In YPP, 500+ subscribers, 18+, in an available region.
- Atmosfarm fit
- Themed tiers (e.g. "Builders" / "Engineers"): members-only build logs, early episode access, raw dome-engineering breakdowns, members chat on the livestream.
💬Super Thanks / Super Chat / Super Stickers
- What it is
- Viewers pay to pin/highlight a live-chat message (Super Chat & Stickers, in lives + premieres) or tip on uploads (Super Thanks).
- Eligibility
- In YPP, 18+, in an available region.
- Atmosfarm fit
- Built for the 24/7 livestream — pinned Super Chats during build streams, milestone moments, Q&A. Lowest-friction way to earn the instant viewers start tuning in live.
🛍️Shopping / product shelf
- What it is
- A shelf under videos / on live / on the channel that sells your own merch (or eligible connected stores).
- Eligibility
- In YPP, 18+; connect a supported merch store (e.g. Fourthwall / Spreadshop); some features need 10k+ subs.
- Atmosfarm fit
- The direct sales channel for the promo products below — pin the dome/"water from air" merch right under the build episodes that feature it.
🔗Affiliate links — tools, materials, electronics
- What it is
- Commission on gear you link from build videos (Amazon Associates + manufacturer/retailer programs).
- Eligibility
- Join each affiliate program; disclose affiliate links per YouTube + consumer rules; put links in descriptions / pinned comment.
- Atmosfarm fit
- Every build names real gear — ducting, compressors, solar, sensors, the cameras + DJI Mini 5 drone on the Gear page. Near-zero effort, works at any channel size. A quick win.
🤝Sponsorships & brand deals
- What it is
- Paid integrations or dedicated segments from brands (tools, solar, off-grid, ag-tech, CAD/3D software).
- Eligibility
- Audience + niche fit (grows with subs/views); a media kit; FTC/paid-promotion disclosure.
- Atmosfarm fit
- Solar, off-grid power, water, ag-tech and tool brands map directly onto the dome story — a strong, on-mission sponsor narrative. Needs a media kit + audience first.
🎞️Licensing footage
- What it is
- License clips to media outlets / stock libraries / licensing agencies (e.g. Jukin/Newsflare-style) — build failures, drone & farm shots, dramatic moments.
- Eligibility
- You own the footage rights; sign up with a licensing platform; unique / high-quality / shareable clips.
- Atmosfarm fit
- Drone farm fly-overs, dome timelapses and spectacular failures are licensable B-roll. Archive everything in high-res from day one so it's sellable later.
🧱Crowdfunding / Patreon-style support for the dome
- What it is
- Recurring or one-off support (Patreon / Ko-fi, or a Kickstarter for the prototype) funding the dome build directly.
- Eligibility
- Platform account; reward tiers; consistent updates to keep backers engaged.
- Atmosfarm fit
- Secondary / post-launch only. The build is self-funded and the launch is a no-ask "Vision / What's Next" piece, never a fundraiser. The "Help build the dome" promo exists as a soft, optional call-to-action. If momentum justifies it later: fund the 6 m prototype; reward tiers like name-on-the-dome, blueprint downloads, prototype-only updates.
🎯Fan funding tied to livestream milestones
- What it is
- On-stream donation / sub goals that unlock real actions — "at $X we buy the compressor / start the next prototype."
- Eligibility
- A streaming setup + a funding/goal tool (Super Chat goals, or StreamElements/Streamlabs tip goals on the self-hosted stream).
- Atmosfarm fit
- Turns the YT Live Streamer 24/7 stream into a build-funding engine — milestones map to actual parts and prototype stages, so viewers fund visible progress.

Open questions to seed it
- What's the realistic month to cross YPP (1k subs / 4k hours)?
- Which 3 products launch first on the shopping shelf? (lean to the quick wins above)
- Patreon vs Ko-fi vs a one-off Kickstarter for the 6 m prototype?
- Which POD provider integrates with the YouTube product shelf?
- What does the first sponsor media kit need (audience stats, reach, niche)?
A planning tool, not a public page. Statuses and all notes are stored only in this browser (localStorage key atmosfarm_revenue_v1) — clearing site data resets them. Eligibility figures reflect YouTube's published Partner Program thresholds at build time; verify current rules before acting.
