π― The 100-Day Build
JUL 6 β OCT 14, 2026The active near-term plan: quiet pre-build prep through early July, then Day 1 = Mon 6 Jul β film + build (don't publish yet), get the dome frame up by the Oct 14 birthday, then launch the channel + 24/7 livestream on the day and premiere "I Built a Dome in 100 Days." The whole run is the content.
Start creating
Begin filming + building. Stockpile content β don't publish. @atmosfarm accounts already set up.
Foundation β frame
Site prep + base, then raise the geodesic frame. Intercut first airflow / Venturi / condensation prototype tests.
Frame out + edit backlog
Finish the frame + intake/duct mock-ups. Edit the stockpiled episodes; cut the launch package β Ep1, the 100-days film, thumbnails, channel art.
Final push
Frame fully up, the 24/7 livestream rig set up and tested off-grid, launch videos finalised.
Launch day
Channel goes live with the content backlog, premiere "I Built a Dome in 100 Days," start the 24/7 livestream β at the birthday party.
Day 1 is Mon 6 Jul β Oct 14 is exactly 100 days; quiet pre-build prep runs mid-June β Jul 5. Launch strategy is build-a-backlog-then-launch: create now, publish on Oct 14. Checklist: Launch Β· cadence: Playbook Β· the film: Scripts Β· day-by-day: Schedule.
Foundation β frame (fabricate, lower, upper + apex)
Air intake + downpipe system
Water-2-air condensation + filtration
Pond/aquaponics, cover, entrance, garden beds
Exhaust + landscaping, launch prep
Content slate: main video (Episode 1) + flagship documentary "I Built a Dome in 100 Days" + 14 weekly build videos + 14 weekly timelapses + a full-build master timelapse (all on Main) + 20 topic videos + trailer + Vision video. Cadence: launch β main video + flagship + 5 topics + trailer + Vision; then the 14 build videos (each with its weekly timelapse) at 2/week to year-end, topics 1/week, and the master timelapse in the month after launch.
The back-story arc
The condensed life timeline that led here β full version on My Story.
- Age 19
The first buildsLife
Started a skateboard company; opened a combined skate shop / arcade / hot-dog shop in Adelaide β the first "weld things that shouldn't go together" operation.
Studied Film & TelevisionLife
Trained to tell stories on camera, then barely used it for two decades β the reason this was always meant to be documented, not just built.
The Atmosfarm idea is bornDome
Use airflow, Venturi systems and turbines to pull water from air, wrapped in a dome with gardens, a pond, storage and solar. It lived as sketches and renders for a decade.
Going off-gridLife
After a breakup, moved off-grid to a 5-acre property near a military air base β the idea finally had ground under it.
- First property
Skatepark + 150 chickensLife
Built a skatepark and, somewhere along the way, a heritage-breeding flock that peaked around 150 birds across ~20 breeds.
- The sale
60 days, 205 trailer loadsLife
The property sold. Sixty days to move a skatepark, a chicken operation, tools and containers β roughly 205 trailer loads to a second property eight minutes away.
- Mid-move
Lost the licenceLife
Moved belongings by wheelbarrow, dolly, skateboard and on foot. Sold the chicken operation, packed life into a 40-ft container, gave a lot away.
Back on the same groundLife
After about a year back at Mum's (Ubers + hotels to keep working), rented the second property again β the current base: 3 containers, a refrigerated truck body, a billboard trailer, no proper workshop.
Now β restarting out loud
Two things are happening in parallel right now: the channel is being launched, and the software to run it was just built.
- Jun 7β17, 2026 Β· ~9 days Β· v0.01 β v3.0.0
The YT Live Streamer buildStreamer
The self-hosted 24/7 streaming app (19 plugins, Android remote, player site, WordPress plugin) was designed and written in conversation with AI across 35 versions:
- Jun 7 β prototype & Linux port
- Jun 8 β feature growth + UI rewrite (v2.0.0)
- Jun 9β10 β search, My Channel, Remote API, Android remote
- Jun 11 β plugin architecture (the turning point)
- Jun 12β13 β plugin wave + segfault hunt
- Jun 14 β SFTP, player site, the promo website
- Jun 15 β YouTube Live, analytics, Windows Phase 1
- Jun 16 β relay + recording
- Jun 17 β playlist fix, recording plugin, v3.0.0 release
Full detail: YT Live Streamer.
- Launch Β· Phase 1β2
Foundation + media systemChannel
Secure @atmosfarm everywhere, minimal dark website (don't overbuild), then the FOOTAGE/AUDIO/RENDERS folder system, backups and camera prep.
- Launch Β· Phase 3β5
First video β channel liveChannel
Gather visuals + property footage, shoot Episode 1 "Starting Atmosfarm" (~10β14 min) in blocks, edit naturally, then build the YouTube channel art + first-video package.
Checklist: Launch Β· scripts: First Scripts.
- Ongoing cadence
Weekly rhythmChannel
1 main video (8β20 min) + 2β4 short-form + 1β2 community posts. Sunday is "Atmosfarm Day"; main video drops Sunday or Monday night. The main video is the engine β not a shorts channel.
Cadence: Playbook.
- Launch Β· Phase 7
First prototypesDome
Start small and portable: airflow tests, Venturi tests, fan tests, water-condensation tests, trailer/container-mounted structure concepts β see if the physics holds.
The guiding rule
Launch fast, upload first, don't disappear into website/branding/gear perfection. Start small and portable because the property may be developed within ~2 years β everything has to be able to move. The road ahead
Where the dome build and the channel/business are heading once the engine is running.
- Dome Β· Phase 1
Lab testingDome
Validate the core airflow + condensation concepts at bench scale before committing to a build.
- Dome Β· Phase 2
6 m prototypeDome
The validation unit β 6 m Γ, 3 m high, 0.4 m funnel throat, 400 mm duct, 3 inline turbines. The funding ask is to build and prove this.
Specs: Engineering Β· Business.
- Dome Β· Phase 3
15 m commercial systemDome
Scale the validated prototype to the full 15 m commercial dome β the long-term dream unit.
- Dome Β· Phase 4
Commercial rolloutBusiness
Sell modular units, license the design, pursue government/grant partnerships and ag-tech deployment for remote/regional Australia.
- Short-term goals
Establish & monetiseChannel
Launch professionally, build the first prototypes, grow the social ecosystem, and reach YouTube monetisation thresholds.
Money map: Revenue & Promo.
- Mid-term goals
Audience + fundingBusiness
Working prototypes, a growing community, documentary development, and optional sponsorship/crowdfunding only if momentum supports it (the build stays self-funded). Possibly the creator-platform product.
Product idea: Creator Platform.
- Long-term vision
The whole thing realisedBusiness
Atmosfarm becoming a real working prototype system, a documentary archive, a sustainable-living concept, and a recognisable environmental-design identity.
Synthesised from the life-story timeline (main covo / Episode 1), the channel launch phases + posting schedule (main covo / Project Master Document), the dome development roadmap (the pitch/investor/grant decks), and the streamer build history (the YT Live Streamer site).
